Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Elizabeth Robertena “Tena” (Frees) McDonald which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 4th, 2019. Born 1942, in Dalhousie, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Emma (Donahue) Frees. Tena was a homemaker who loved to entertain family and friends.
Tena is survived by her sons William McDonald (Brynn) of Point La Nim, Robert McDonald (Susan) of Lake Utopia, Peter McDonald (the late Susan) of Quispamsis; siblings Isabel Hobbs (Harry) of Belleville, ON, Max Frees (Sandra) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Perry Frees (Penny) of Alberta, Holly Saunders (the late Charles) of South Bay, Elwood Frees (Angie) of Campbellton, Jerry Frees (Norma) of Rothesay, Jill Blount (the late Doug) of Saint John, Robert Frees (Colette) of Balmoral, Bruce Frees (Debero) of Dalhousie, Kim Miller (Allan) of Montreal and Sally Frees (Ron) of Charlo; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Besides her parents, Tena was predeceased by her husband William and siblings Aubrey, Wilbert, Carl, Judy and John.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Sunday, December 8th from 3 to 4 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service beginning in the chapel at 4 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Tena may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
