Leggett-Pedersen, Tammey Ray
April 11, 1965 – December 27, 2019
It is with heaviest of hearts and great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Tammey Ray Leggett -Pedersen on December 27th. After a brief illness, with her loving family by her side, Tammey left us to join her mother Gloria (Hurst). Tammey’s world was her children and husband. She devoted much of her time and energy to her daughters hockey programs and supporting their Swimming for Kicks program. Nothing gave her greater pleasure than attending her daughter’s hockey games and puttering in her gorgeous gardens. Recent descriptions of Tammey include, ‘big sister, shining light, passionate, always a smile, feisty, fierce, strong, and loving mom’. All excellent depictions of our Tammey. Tammey was always there to lend a helping hand, fundraise for many great causes and voice her opinion. She was a force that will live on in her amazing daughters. Tammey is pre-deceased by her mother Gloria (Hurst); in-laws Leif and Florence (Sharkey). She leaves behind her loving husband of 25 years, Ken; her beautiful daughters Charlea and Mercedez; beloved father John Clifford Leggett (Eva Moreau); sister Cindy Brown (Doug); brother Trevor (Lisa Gauthier) and many cherished nieces and nephews. With her passing Tammey was able to give the gift of life this Christmas to 3 donor recipients. She would love to know she had such an impact on the lives of three people and their families. She will remain in our hearts and souls forever and in those she gave a new lease on life. Please join us for a celebration of Tammey’s life to be determined at a later date.
