Stephen Goodwin
1965-2019
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of James
Stephen Goodwin “The Goat”, age 54. He passed away
suddenly at the Aberdeen Hospital, on Monday, December 2,
2019.
He spent most of his life being a mechanic at the V-Filling
Station. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing cars. He had a love for old
cars and an obsession with eagles. He enjoyed going for coffee and
drives with family and friends. He loved life and enjoyed every second
he could.
He is survived by his mother, Kay Goodwin,
New Glasgow; brothers: Billy, New Glasgow; Johnny,
Alberta; Herbie (Brit), New Glasgow; Mark, New Glasgow; sisters:
Debbie, New Glasgow; Jenny, Stewiacke; chosen brothers, “The
Bowden Boys”, Chris, Darrell, James, Tupac and Derwin;
daughter, Melissa, Westville; sons: Harley, Westville; Tony MacDonald,
Alberta; Bruce MacDonald, Ontario; grandsons: Damian and Joe;
granddaughter, Dakota; several nieces and nephews and a very special
niece and friend, Alissa “Chickie”, Stellarton; best
friend, John MacAulay, Wakerville; many cousins, aunts and
uncles.
He was predeceased by his father, James Anthony Goodwin;
brother, John Colin; grandparents: Art and Jeanette Hayman and William
and Sadie Goodwin.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday, Dec. 5, in the R.H.
Porter Funeral Home, 55 Almont Ave., New Glasgow. Funeral service 11
am Friday, Dec. 6, in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home Chapel, New
Glasgow. Reception to follow at Wrangler’s, New Glasgow.
