Shannon David Sampson 19722019

Shannon David Sampson
1972-2019
Sampson, Shannon David, age 47, of Calgary and formerly of
Linwood and Truro, passed away suddenly on December 6, 2019, in
Calgary.
Born in Hamilton Ontario, he was a son of Jerome and Betty
(Pettipas) Sampson of Linwood.
Shannon graduated from Antigonish East High and continued his
education at NSCC, graduating with a diploma in Plumbing/Pipefitting.
Shannon went on to become a red seal journeyman tradesman working on a
number of construction sites in Alberta. He loved his children dearly
and enjoyed his many friendships, often entertaining them with
practical jokes. Shannon had a kind and generous heart and would
literally give a person in need his coat off his back even if he
himself did not have another coat to wear.
Besides his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Hannah
(Denver) and Brianne (Lucas); grandchild, Lennox; Angie, the mother of
his children, Truro; five brothers, Dwayne (Rochelle) Calgary; Marcel
(Danette), Linwood; Jerry (Leslie), Calgary; Leon (Tara), Edmonton;
Raymond (Jennifer), Linwood; and many relatives too numerous to
mention.
Predeceased by an older brother in infancy, several uncles,
his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held
Sunday, Dec. 15th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in C.L. Curry Funeral Home,
135 College Street, Antigonish. Funeral Mass will be held
Monday in St. Peter’s Church, Tracadie, at 11:00am, Fr. John
Barry and Deacon Berkley Guthro presiding. Burial to follow
in the parish cemetery.
In Memoriam, donations may be made to St. Peter’s
CWL Luncheon Committee or a charity of
choice.
