Obituary of Ruth Jean Ramp
RAMP, Ruth Jean (nee Duncan) of Port Dover passed away peacefully at Parkview Meadows, Townsend on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband William (December 2018). Cherished mother and mother-in-law of William of Lethbridge, Alberta; Rita (Gary) Johnston of Waterloo; Sheila Buck (Bob Wylie) of Niagara-on-the-Lake; and Phyllis (Greg) Rawlings of Ripley. Loving grandmother of Hugh, Allayna, Mariel, Melissa, Scott, Steven, David, Matthew, Jordon, Kevin, Phil and Brad. Dear great-grandmother of Mackenzie, Logan, Ben, and Charlie. Will be remembered by her brother-in-law Wally Jarvis of Simcoe. Predeceased by her sisters Elsie Doughty and her husband Robert, Helen Jarvis and Phyllis Duncan. Ruth was a dedicated member of Grace United Church, the UCW and Women’s Institute. She loved to paint, but will be best remembered for her delicious apple pie. Friends are invited to share their memories of Ruth with the family on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Grace United Church (Chapman & St. George Sts.) from 11 am to 12:30 pm followed by the funeral service at 12:30 pm. The Reverend Kathryn Vance officiating. Interment St. John’s Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, Port Dover (519) 583-1530.
