Ruth Feigelson
(née Reisler)
1921-2019
Died on Monday 9 December 2019 just days before her 98th birthday, devoted wife of the late Abe; mother and mother-in-law of Paul Caron (Michelle), the late Ernest Caron, Joseph Caron, Nancy Guberman, Steve Feigelson, Debbie Feigelson Ravette; beloved grandma of Ted Caron (Anna), Joanna Caron (Arik), Ariane Guberman-Caron (Dan), Jeremy Feigelson, Jason Ravette, Michael Ravette; proud great-granny of 12 great-grand-children; loyal sister of the late Isaac Reisler and Kakie; aunt of Avner Reisler, Gad Reisler (Daphna), Naomi Reisler (Shachar), Badanna Zack and Paul Feigelson (Rhona); grand-aunt of Nir, Michal, Ido, Guy, Anat, Adi and Yoav, and Stevie; cousin inter alia of Hy Reisler (Willie), Susan Reisler and Steve Deutsch (Barbara).
Present on the left in her youth, Ruth showed a strong independence of spirit and a force of character allied with a respect for others in her entourage. Over time she was a union worker, businesswoman, social worker and administrator. Ever a music lover, as a philanthropist, Ruth led the Abe and Ruth Feigelson Foundation toward the support of organisations which favour all-around social and civic development of individuals through the initiation to and exploration of musical competencies, for example Musique nomade (Wapikoni) (nikamowin.com/musique-nomade) and Encore!Sistema Québec (www.encoresistema.org/).
Graveside ceremony took place on Thursday, December 12. A ceremony to honour Ruth’s life will take place at 2:00 p.m., (welcome as of 1:30 p.m.), on January 12, 2020. For more information, please contact the family.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Ruth Feigelson 2019..
