Roy Harrison Woodman passed away peacefully at the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the age of 71 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Roy of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of 52 years to Alma (Chislett). Loving father to Jacqueline (Joe) and Katrina (Bill). Cherished poppa of Jenna, Rachel, Kassandra, Kyle and Emily. Dear brother of Barry (Iris). Predeceased by his parents Harrison and Annie and brother Herman (Darlene). Roy will be dearly missed by a large number of extended family and friends. Roy was a kind man with a big heart who enjoyed the outdoors particularly hunting and fishing. The family would like to take this time to give a special thank you to the Doctors and nursing staff at G&M Hospital for their compassion and care they provided to Roy and his family, also to the Saint Elizabeth Healthcare staff for their wonderful care they provided while Roy was at home and lastly a big thank you to his family doctor Dr. Recoskie for his excellent care given to Roy. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Prime Time Club, 1724 Mosley Street, Wasaga Beach on Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 1 to 4 pm with words of remembrance at 2 o’clock. Arrangements entrusted to Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel.
