January 21, 1965 – December 20, 2019

The passing of Roger Jay Carnahan of Fredericton, NB, loving husband of Brenda (Goguen) Carnahan occurred on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
He was born on January 21, 1965 in Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late George Carnahan and Pauline (Shepard) Carnahan.
Roger was a dedicated fire-fighter who joined the City of Fredericton Fire Department on January 5, 1987. Roger ended his career with the Department as Captain.
Roger’s greatest joy was spending time with his children.
In addition to his wife, Roger is survived by his; sons Nicholas and Thomas of Fredericton, NB; brothers Ray of Colorado, USA and Ron (Nathaly) of Ottawa, ON; nieces and nephews, Douglas, Nathan, Emma, Leah, Cortney and Ryan.
He also leaves behind his faithful canine companion, Cooper.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
A Funeral will be held at the York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 2pm with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
