1949-2019
The family of Robert D. Leavitt is saddened to announce his
sudden passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, on
Thursday, December 19, 2019, surrounded by his loving
family.
Born in St Stephen, NB., son of Geraldine L. Leavitt and the
late Donald H. Leavitt.
Robert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty, children,
Reecie Sears, Bernadette Brown (John), Danika Hamilton (Randall),
seven grandchildren, John Brown III (Kathleen), Robert Leavitt
(Katie), Joshua Brown (Erica), Ashley Moore (Shaun), Ryan Russell
(Marissa), Savannah and Nicholas Hamilton, twelve great-grandchildren,
one great-great-granddaughter, siblings, Edward Leavitt (Gloria),
David Leavitt (Darlene), Rita Benson (Stan), Raymond Leavitt
(Valerie), several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two infant
brothers, one infant great-granddaughter and one
great-grandson.
Resting at The S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd.,
23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB. from where the funeral service will
be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 2 PM. Visiting hours will be
held at the funeral home on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8
PM.
Due to some family members sensitivity, please refrain from
wearing strong scents and fragrances. In lieu of flowers, donations in
Robert’s memory may be made to NB Heart and Stroke
Foundation, Diabetes Association, Charlotte County Cancer Society or a
charity of one’s choice.
