Raymond Samuel Clowes Wednesday November 27th 2019

Clowes, Raymond Samuel
Peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2019 at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay. Ray Clowes in his 80th year was the beloved husband of Lynda Ann (nee Gray) Clowes for 59 years of marriage. Dear father of Jeffrey Clowes, Cathy and her husband Kevin Smith, Todd Clowes and his wife Denise and Rob Clowes and his wife Cheryl. Loving grandpa of Nicole, Joshua, Tyler, Cody, Jennifer, Ashley, William, Coleman, Cora and great-grandpa of 8 great-grandchildren. Ray is pre-deceased by his only brother, Leigh Clowes (2019). The family of Raymond Clowes will celebrate his life privately and are so proud of his 24 years of service in the military. He first worked in the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals, then moved in Canadian Airborne Regiment, 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion, and ended his military career in Base Borden at the 706 Communications Squadron. In his civilian life he was employed for 10 years with Litton Systems where he worked on Ship to Shore Radar Tracking Systems, as well as Guidance Systems for cruise missiles, then ending his career for 5 years at General Motors in the Diesel Division as a Tech Writer for LAV’s. As a family man, Ray adored his family and in retirement was quite happy spending his days beside the Burnt River with his wife, Lynda. If desired memorial donations to Alzheimer Society Kawartha Lakes would be appreciated and may be arranged by JARDINE FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & TRIBUTE CENTRE, 8 Princes’ St. W., Fenelon Falls.
