Passed away peacefully on December 21, 2019 at 84 years of age surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his wife Joanne (Nee Matheson) 1999. Beloved companion of Fran Gibb. Loving father of Wendy Kubinec (Mike) and Wayne (Monica). Dear Grandfather of Dana Reissner (Kyle), Kara Kubinec- Jermias (Jerry), Josh Kubinec (Laura), Phill Crowder, Ray Crowder (Monica Faria- Crowder), Andrew Crowder (Genevieve Sansone), Mitchell Crowder (Lauren). Great grandfather of Tayvia, Ryker, Marceline, Nathan and Samuel. Dear brother of the late Wilma Lawrence (Andy), the late Phyllis Birdsell (late Ernie).
Ray enjoyed his years as a member of the Thistle Masonic Lodge No. 34, the Order of the Eastern Star and was a 33rd degree Mason and a Shriner. He was a retired first class Stationary Engineer with General Chemical for over 30 years. Ray was an active member in the community, having volunteered at Richmond Terrace Nursing Home, the Amherstburg Food Bank and the Canadian Cancer Society. If you desire memorial tributes to the charity of choice would be appreciated.
Visitation will be held on Friday December 27, 2019 from 9:30 am until time of Masonic service at 11:30 am followed by a funeral service at Families First 585 Sandwich Street South, Amherstburg, 519-969-5841. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
