Michael L Tremblay
July 14, 1949 – November 30, 2019 (age 70)
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Michael Luke Louis Joseph Tremblay, aka Bubba, on November 30th, 2019 at the age of 70 years. Dearly loved son of the late Henri and Violet (Sampson) Tremblay. Michael will be sadly missed by his surviving siblings – Isabelle Vinette (Vic deceased), Raymond (Rita) and John (Anna), as well as many nieces and nephews. Michael was predeceased by his brothers Conrad (Cecile surviving), Francis (Lucille surviving) and sisters Bertha Manseau and Jacqueline Raymondo.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Doctor Melanie O’Grady and the staff on D3 at North Bay Regional Hospital who, with the utmost respect and compassion, cared for Michael until his passing. Special thanks to Trevor Knight, Carol Poitras and Tammy Byrnes, and all the staff at Birch’s Residence for their exceptional care of Michael over the past many years. You loved, appreciated and valued Michael, and for this we are forever grateful.
Although Michael was born with Down Syndrome and was non-verbal, he was a very special man who brought great joy to his family and caregivers over the years. He loved long car rides, music (the louder the better), attending rock concerts and was known to be quite the prankster in his younger years. His playful attitude, his smile, and his strong will to live will be deeply missed by all who knew and cared for him throughout his life.
Donations in his memory can be made to Community Living and would be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St Peter the Apostle RC Church (299 Airport Road) on Thursday, December 5th at 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at FJ Dellandrea Place (741 Wallace Road) at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place in the family plot in St Bernadette’s Cemetery, Bonfield, in the spring.
