Obituary for
Michael Joseph Drover
It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Michael Joseph Drover announces his sudden passing. Michael passed away at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Care Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Saturday, November 30th, 2019 at the age of 85 years.
Predeceased by his wife – Madeline Drover (2016); parents – Peter & Grace Drover; granddaughter – Whitney Drover; son-in-law – Pat Furey; siblings – Frederick Drover, David Drover, Ambrose Drover, Martina Drover, Ronald Drover and Jim Furey (Mary Theresa); parents-in-law – Abraham & Bridget Walsh; siblings-in-law – Douglas Walsh, Patrick Walsh (Minnie), Lawrence Walsh, Katherine Walsh, Louise Walsh, Leonard Breen (Elizabeth), Abraham Walsh, William Breen (Mary), Daniel Hoven, William White and Archie Bennett.
Left to cherish many wonderful memories are his children – Theresa Mayne (Elton), Alice Hoven (David), Eugene Drover (Agnes), William Drover, Leonard Drover (Jennifer), Brenda Banks (Glenn), Lenora Cooper (Christopher), Madeline Drover (Ivan), Michael Drover (Sandra), and Paul Drover; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings – Alice White, Bridget Bennett, Kevin Drover (Geraldine), Rose Collins (Ap), Gerry Drover, Sharon Drover (Gary) and Stella Drover; siblings-in-law – Phyllis Hoven, Alice Walsh (James), Alphonsus Walsh (Rose), Gerry Walsh (Linda), Kathleen Walsh, Mary Walsh and Gert Walsh as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Public Visitation will take place from Foster Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Baie Verte, NL on Monday, December 2nd, 2019 from 6:00-9:00PM and on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2019 from 2:00-4:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM.
A Rosary Service will take place on Monday at 7:00PM and a Wake Service on Tuesday at 7:00PM.
Father Camillus Ekedobe will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial from St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Highway 410, Baie Verte, NL on Wednesday, December 4th, 2019 at 2:00PM. Interment to follow from St. Pius X Roman Catholic Cemetery, Highway 410, Baie Verte, NL.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Michael’s memory to St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Baie Verte, NL.
