ARMSTRONG, Mernene – Passed away on Sunday November 24, 2019 at the Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home. Mrs. Mernene Armstrong of Simcoe in her 84th year. Beloved wife of Walter Whitehead for 42 years. Loving mother of Dean Armstrong (Lise) and Deanna Haskett (Gary). Cherished Grandma to Melissa (Steve), Ashley, Nathan and Jordon. Great Mema to Chloe and Carter. Dear sister to the late Preston Haskett. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Evelyne “Georgie” Haskett. Mernene will be sadly missed by many other relatives and friends. At Mernene’s request there will be a private family burial at Oakwood Cemetery. A public Celebration of Life will be announce at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the FERRIS FUNERAL HOME, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe (519-426-1314). If so desired, donations may be made to Simcoe Special Olympics or the Alzheimer’s Society.
