Margaret Kathleen Kay Manley Hale Tuesday December 17th 2019

Manley, Margaret Kathleen (Kay): (May 19th, 1926 – December 17th, 2019)
It is with distinct sorrow that Kay’s family announce her passing in her 94th year. The caring matriarch of our family whose many wonderful traits included immense amounts of thoughtfulness and generosity is at peace. Beloved wife of the late Ron Manley. Loving and supportive mother of Vaughn (Patty) and Ron Smith (Lisa) and step- mother of Roberta McBride (Dave), Pat Longyear (Ross) and Rose Gadbois (Tom). Cherished nanny of Ryan, Lindsey, Jessica (Josh), Emily (Bencar), and Abby Smith and Great nanny of Katerra, Vannya, Owen and Yaretzi. Daughter of late Susan and Arthur Hale and sister of the late Bertha Demill (Jack).
The family would like to express their appreciation to all the supportive employees at Extendicare Cobourg with special gratitude to the nurses and personal support workers who provided excellent care.
A graveside service will be held at the Port Hope Union Cemetery on Tuesday May 19th, 2020 at 11 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends to share stories of Kay’s life, at the Hotel Carlyle & Restaurant in Port Hope from noon until 3 p.m.
Those wishing to make a memorial donation may consider the Northumberland Humane Society, the Port Hope Public Library, Mary J. Benson Branch, The Capitol Theatre Endowment Trust Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
