Obituary
A celebration of life will be held at Yates Memorial Services on December 14, 2019 for Margaret Grace Geldart of Parksville. Grace passed away the evening of November 25th with her son by her side.
Grace was born in 1923 to Chester Morrison and Claudia Howard of Port Moody. The daughter of the soon to be Mayor of Port Moody grew up in Canada’s formative years after the Great war. Growing up in the thirties and after the war had impacted her outlook as she developed a no nonsense, hard working but compassionate mother to her sons Jim, Donald, Thomas, Robert, Keith and Ken.
She was held in high regard by her sons, grandchildren and others who had the pleasure to know her.
Grace had a great sense of humour and loved to talk about her love for those years of dancing to the music of Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey and those golden voice singers of that era. Grace was immensely proud of her family’s heritage.
Grace will be joining her best friend Cecil and all those family members that predeceased her and her husband James. Grace leaves behind many cousins, neighbors, her children Thomas, Robert, Keith and Ken and her grandchildren Nicole, Dean, Gabrielle, and Jacquelline.
In Lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
