Obituary
Margaret Ann Sticklen
1944 – 2019
It is with heavy hearts and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the death of Margie Sticklen, who died peacefully in the Miramichi Regional hospital on December 18, 2019 at the age of 75. She was predeceased by her parents Edward and Mary (McMulkin) Sticklen, her sister Francis Keays (Jim) and her brother Edward (Bud) Sticklen. She is survived by her sisters Jean Hall (Warren) and Mary Lou McClure (Ian), sister-in-law, Aura Somers Sticklen, 14 nieces and nephews and their many children and grand-children, her dear friend Mary Bowes.
Margie’s love of children led to a career in primary education that lasted over 30 years. She was a devoted teacher, loved by her many students. She had many loyal friends and loved her family deeply. She was always interested in each of their lives, keeping track of their many activities and accomplishments. Travel, gardening, her church and time with friends and family brought her great joy. She loved a good meal, fresh flowers and hearing the latest news. Independent and determined all her life, it was with the help and the support of her many caregivers and friends that Margie was able to live in her family home until just a week ago. Her family is grateful for all those who made this possible.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Friday, December 27th, 2019 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
