Lorna Jean nee Young Coleman 19352019

Lorna Jean (née Young) Coleman
1935-2019
Lorna Jean (née Young) Coleman, age 84, of
Kentville, passed away in rest on the early morning on Wednesday,
December 4, 2019, the culmination of a hard-fought battle against
cancer. Born in 1935 in White Rock, she was the daughter of the late
Ernest and Jean (Campbell) Young, of White Rock/Greenwich and lived 84
years on this earth. Lorna gave much of herself in service to those
she loved, unrelenting even in the face of death. Lorna was a dutiful
mother to her children and helped in the raising of her grandchildren
and was an avid gardener. She was a lady of classic virtue and
retained her gentle and dignified character throughout the final stage
of her life. Lorna will be remembered with loving warmth by her
husband of 59 years Edwin; daughters, Susan, Michelle (Terry), and
Rachel (Mike); three grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and
brothers, Loran (her twin) and Raleigh. A private family graveside
service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory may be made
to the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer
Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
