Obituary
Lloyd passed away peacefully at Central Okanagan Hospice House on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at the age of 88.Lloyd was born in Grenfell, Saskatchewan.At the age of 5, his family moved to Lemberg, Saskatchewan.He resided there until 1969 when he moved the family to Kelowna, BC.Lloyd owned and operated Lloyd’s Texaco and many other service stations until his retirement.
Lloyd was predeceased by his brothers Wilbert Lowenberg, Cliff Lowenberg, sister-in-law Doreen Lowenberg, sister-in-law Ann Lowenberg, brother-in-law Norman Sharp and brother-in-law Rudy Bosch.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Mildred (Millie) of 61 years; his son Brad and daughter Brenda (Marc), his grandchildren; Jodie (Brad) Matthews, Colin (Courtney) Steven Schorn (Kaylee) Jenny Schorn and his little gardening buddy, his great grandson, Ryley Schorn. Lloyd is also survived by 3 brothers; Ray (Marilyn) Lloydminster, Sask., Marvin (Margaret) Idaho Falls, Idaho and David (Diane) Calgary, AB, 3 sisters; Isabel (Floyd) Bonk, Grenfell, Sask., Priscilla Sharp, Regina, Sask., and Delaine Bosch, Woodstock, ON and sister-in-law June Krell, Stoughton, Sask., as well as many nieces and nephews.
Cremation services entrusted to Hansons Westwood Funeral Chapel, West Kelowna, BC
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Ave, Kelowna. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
