Lloyd Avery Duncanson
1930-2019
Lloyd Avery Duncanson – age 89, of Grand Pré,
passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 in the Halifax Infirmary –
QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Gaspereau, he was the son of the
late Avery and Abbie (Miner) Duncanson. Lloyd was a curator of
exhibits and taxidermist at the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History
for over 30 years, where exhibits of his work can still be
seen. He was an outdoor enthusiast and had a keen interest
in nature. He was a lifetime member of the Trappers
Association of Nova Scotia. He is survived by daughter, Melodie (Bill)
Gallant, New Glasgow, PE; son, Kevin, (Brenda) Lower Sackville;
grandchildren, Bryan Flemming, Tony Flemming, Ryan MacNeill, Ross
MacNeill and Cody Duncanson. Besides his parents, he was predeceased
by his wife, Barbara and sister, Bernice Muggah. He will be missed by
his loving and faithful canine companion, Ellen. Cremation has taken
place and there will be no visitation, by request. A celebration of
Lloyd’s life will be held at a later date. The family would
like to give special thanks to all friends and neighbors for the
kindness and support shown to Lloyd throughout the past number of
years. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
