At Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Wednesday, December
25, 2019 of Leonard Joseph DesRoches of Freetown, aged 61
years. Son of the late Arthur DesRoches and the late Olive
(Gallant) DesRoches. Survived by divorced wife Sheila (Pochylko)
DesRoches, Calgary, AB; children Allison (Jeremy) Johnston, Stratford
and Joshua (Dan) DesRoches, Calgary, AB; grandchildren: Jacoby and
Felix Johnston; siblings: Sylvia (John) Bourgeois, Montreal, QC;
Seymour (Wendy) DesRoches, Chelton; Freddie (Sharon)
DesRoches, Freetown; Brenda (Donnie) Perry, Summerside; Marie (Danny)
Paynter, Borden-Carleton; Clifford (Ann) DesRoches, Summerside; Linda
(Gerard) McCardle, Summerside; Calvin (Barb) DesRoches, Northam;
Joanne (Paul) Bridges, Freetown; Carol (Ronald) Reeves, Kensington;
Arthur “Junior” DesRoches, Oshawa, ON and Brian (Michelle)
DesRoches, South Freetown. Survived by numerous nieces and
nephews. Predeceased by parents Arthur & Olive
(Gallant) DesRoches and by infant brothers Leonard and Stephen.
Visitation at Kinkora Place on Sunday, December 29 from 6 to 9
p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. James Church,
Summerfield on Monday, December 30 at 10:30 a.m. Interment
in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to
Lawless Funeral Home Kinkora.
