Laura Marjorie Jones 2019

Obituary of Laura Marjorie Jones
Mrs. Laura Marjorie Jones was born in Carsonville on June 21, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Hanford and Gertie (Cook) McEwen and the wife of the late Warren Jones who passed away in 1998.
Laura was always one to keep her hands busy and loved to quilt, bake and knit. Christmas was her favorite time of year and you could almost always guarantee that a family gathering was not complete without Laura’s biscuits.
She was never one to tend a vegetable garden, but she sure loved her flowers. Laura was the wonderful lady with the free samples. She is fondly remembered as The Avon Lady who could be found walking her Cedar Ave neighborhood.
She will live on in the hearts of her sister, Edris Keys of Sus and by her sister-in-law, Kay McEwen of Carsonville; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Laura Marjorie Jones of Berwick formerly of Sus Corner passed away on December 26, 2019 at the age of 102.
Along with her parents and her husband, she is predeceased by her daughter, Lois; her brothers: Harris and Eric and by her sister, Freda Sherwood.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 1-3pm. A Celebration of Laura’s life will be immediately following in Wallace Community Chapel. The interment will take place in Kirk Hill Cemetery in the spring.
