Laudia “Dee” Marie Keane
1938 – 2019
Laudia “Dee” Marie Keane of Miramichi, NB wife of Harrison Matheson passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Shannex – Losier Hall on December 10, 2019 at the age of 80. Born in Tracadie-Shelia, NB, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Josephine (Comeau) LeClair.
Dee was a devoted catholic and her greatest passion was her family. She enjoyed listening and dancing to country music with Harrison. Dee was known for her homemade bread and rolls and she enjoyed many four wheeling trips to the camp.
Dee is survived by her husband: Harrison Matheson of Miramichi, NB; two daughters: Janet Trecartin of Saint John, NB and Theresa Gormley (Chris) of Summerville, NB; one son: Allan Keane of Gatineau, PQ; two brothers: Stanislas LeClair (Cecilia) of Shelia, NB and Yvon Comeau (Patsy) of Bathurst, NB; two grandchildren: Chase and Ty Gormley, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Dee is predeceased by two brothers: Leonard and Joseph and one sister: Jeanette Girouard.
At Dee’s request there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel, Miramichi, NB on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Father Antonio Reyes officiating.
In lieu of flowers, in Dee’s memory donations may be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or Parkinson Canada. Messages of condolence may be made on our website at www.bellsmeadows.com
The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the many caregivers at Shannex – Losier Hall that provided excellent care and continued until her passing.
