KIEPER Ivy nee Smith —

KIEPER, Ivy M. (née Smith)

Kieper, Ivy M. (nee Smith) passed away peacefully in the early hours of December 12, 2019, in Kelowna, British Columbia.
Ivy was born and raised in Russell, Manitoba by her loving parents Wilfred and Ethel Smith who originated from England. Upon completion of her schooling in Russell, Ivy worked in Winnipeg for Great West Life. On July 12, 1945, she married a local lad from Russell, Wilbur (Bill) Kieper, who at the time was serving in the Royal Canadian Navy. They settled in the community to raise two children, Bob and Wendy. After a number of years farming and working for local businesses, Ivy and Bill headed for Osoyoos in 1968. Then on to Midway until retirement in Kelowna. Throughout their 74 years of marriage, Ivy and Bill met and enjoyed the great friendship of many. Ivy was in the care of Three Links Manor in Kelowna for the past several years and their kind loving help was essential to her and the family. All who knew Ivy will miss her
