Obituary of Kenneth Watchorn
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kenneth Watchorn at the Fairview Health complex on December 27, 2019 at 82 years old.
Ken was a mixed farmer for over 60 years.
Ken drove school bus for 24 years for the Fairview school division. He delivered many children home safely.
He belonged to fish and wildlife, he had the opportunity to fly in the helicopter to count elk.
He started the Elk Island grazing lease 60 years ago with Ralph Lindstrom.
Ken enjoyed fly fishing, boating, and family camping trips. He could be counted on for indoor soccer whenever it had rained, and it would include even neighbouring camp kids. He often would stop whatever he was doing to play catch and even gave badminton a try. Ken enjoyed hunting.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife Judy. His children Eve Malachowski (two children Darreck, Shyla Malachowski), Fern Watchorn (three children Davin, Logan, Jevon Arseneault), Joyce Brooks (three children Kerrill Watchorn, Michael Brooks, Amanda Blackstock), Stephen Watchorn and fur baby. Twelve great grandchildren. One brother Gerald and his family. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Ken was predeceased by his dad Kensley Watchorn, and Mother Lousia (Griffin), brother Jack Watchorn, sisters Emma Walmsley, and Bernice Rahn.
A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
