Kathleen Myra
1949-2019
It is with heavy hearts the family of Kathleen
“Kathy” Ann Myra (Steele) announce her peaceful passing at
the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Thursday, November 28, 2019.
Kathy was born in Fredericton, NB on April 4, 1949 to the late Thomas
and Helen Steele (Gibson).
Kathy got the most enjoyment from spending time
with her companion Solice, summers at New River Beach, the many
holidays she was able to spend with her daughters and grandchildren,
and traveling with friends. Kathy will always be remembered for her
loving nature, her ability to make people laugh, her kind heart, and
her unwavering strength and faith. She made being available to others
a priority, and never had a shortage of the most comforting hugs and a
smile to brighten anyone’s day.
She is survived by her two loving daughters,
Alexandria (Michael) Steele-Knox and Courtney (Omar Odeh) Myra as well
as her brother, Harry (Lyne) Steele, and sister Elizabeth (Tony) Dean.
She will forever be lovingly remembered by the lights of her life, her
grandchildren Logan, Michaela, Aurora, Lilly, Ameera, Laith and Layla,
as well as many nieces and nephews, dear friends, and
“brothers” and “sisters” of her
congregation.
Referencing her strength her grandson said
“superheroes don’t exist but Grandma does”. Truer
words have never been spoken. We will always remember and cherish our
superhero. May she rest peacefully.
As per Kathy’s wishes, there will be no
funeral or visitation. A memorial will be held at the Kingdom Hall of
Jehovah’s Witness at 1045 St. Mary’s St in
Fredericton on Wednesday December 4, 2019 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers,
the family have requested donations be made to The Kingdom Hall of
Jehovah’s Witnesses or a charity of choice in honour of
Kathy.
