Katherine “Kay” Gillespie
1943-2019
Following a lengthy illness, Katherine “Kay” Gillespie of
Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph
Hospital on the evening of December 23, 2019.
Kay was born in Fredericton, NB, on January 31, 1943. She was the
daughter of the late Alexander and Dorothy (Barr) Clark. Kay leaves
behind her sons, Clark Glaspy (Diane) of Perth-Andover, NB, and Steven
Hamblin (Kelly Bartlett) of Florenceville-Bristol, NB; her
grandchildren, Stephanie Hamblin, Nicole Ripley, Debbie White, James
Cranley, Tabatha Cranley, and Carl Mielke; along with numerous great
grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Kay also leaves behind
her special neighbors, Clarence and Nila McQuade; and her special
cousin and friend, Nancy Goodine of Perth-Andover, NB.
Kay was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Norman
“Norrie” Gillespie; her sister, Mary Sheppard; and her
brother, Donald Clark.
Respecting Kay’s wishes, she will be cremated and a graveside service
will be held in the spring of 2020. Interment will be in the Trinity
Anglican Cemetery.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Trinity Anglican
Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
