Obituary of Julie Augustine Cheecham
Julie Augustine Cheecham, 73, of Fort McMurray First Nation, Alberta, passed away on November 29, 2019 in Fort McMurray, Alberta with her loving family by her side.
Julie was born in Dillon, Saskatchewan to Michel & Marie Bekkattla on October 29, 1946. Her hobbies were beading and sewing. She enjoyed jigging and dry dances. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and visiting family and friends. There are to many wonderful stories of her life to put down.
Julie is survived by her son, Victor (Ovide) McIntyre (Kristen) their children Mikka and Micah. Special nieces Michelle (Micheal) Billette, Eugenie (Alexis) Francois, Ramona (Craig) Billette and sisters Bridgette Morrision, Marie John and Susan John, brother Raymond (Albertine) Bekkattla, George and Stacey Bekkattla, Walter (Debbie) Bekkattla. Her God Daughter Nitanis Bitternose-Starr and her pets Toby and Sadie and Max. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Phillip Cheecham, her parents Michel & Marie Bekkattla, her grand parents George and Valerie Benjamin and Joe and Lucy Bekkattla, her Brothers, Daniel, Harry, Jimmie, Roderick, Andrew, Adolph Bekkattla and sister Linda McIntyre.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to The Staff of Northern Lights Regional Health Center 3rd Floor in Fort McMurray, Alberta
A two-day wake will be held at the Fort McMurray First Nation quonset on December 3rd and 4th starting at 4:00 pm. A Funeral Service to follow on December 5th at 11:00 am at the quonset. Cremation to follow.
