Obituary of Jordan Graham Brown-Ratcliffe
BROWN-RATCLIFFE, Jordan Graham
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son Jordan Graham Brown-Ratcliffe of Kingston, Ontario, on Sunday, December 22, 2019.
Jordan had started his horticultural studies in September 2019 in London Ontario, and had really come to love carpentry, as well as his hobbies of snow-boarding, hockey, and most sports. He excelled in working with his hands and was known as a diligent and skilled worker by his work-mates. Jordan loved to laugh and had a personality that immediately won people over with his easy smile and tender heart.
With his roots in the Nekaneet First Nations of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, Jordan was so proud of his heritage and his latest tattoo as seen above.
Jordan is survived by his parents Majors Wil and Catherine Brown-Ratcliffe of The Salvation Army in Belleville, Grandfather Colonel William Ratcliffe and Grandparents Fred & Bev Longmire, and Aunts Carol, Heather (Tim), Carolyn (Hugh), Barb (Mark) as well as his cousins. We will be ever grateful to birth mom, Sarah Longmire, for giving us the privilege of being Mom and Dad to Jordan.
The visitation and memorial service will be held at THE SALVATION ARMY KINGSTON CITADEL (816 Centennial Drive), in Kingston, with visitation on Friday, December 27 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. and the memorial service on Saturday, December 28 at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Belleville Salvation Army Youth Ministries or The Salvation Army Territorial Indigenous Ministries.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Jordan

  1. I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Jordan. I also wish I had known sooner as I would have offered my condolences earlier. I worked with him at Sears in Belleville. He was a great kid and he always chose to work with me because we got along well. He was always very polite and talkative. He always spoke so well of his parents and how they were such good people. I remember when he was there I had been talking to him about his schooling and what he was interested in. I tried to encourage him to stay in school and get a good education while he was still young. He was very bright. This is sad news indeed. He will be greatly missed. If for some reason this message does not reach the intended family recipients, I would appreciate it if this message could be forwarded to the James Reid Funeral Home and his family. Thank you.
