Obituary of Jim Bragg
On Monday, December 30th, 2019, our hearts were filled with sadness as our loving husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Jim Bragg, passed away at Dr. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 64 years with his loving family by his side. Born in Port aux Basques he was the son of the late Chesley and Georgina (Hardy) Bragg. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife of 45 years, Marie (nee Pearce), son, Kris Bragg, daughter, Cindy Bragg, both of Port aux Basques, sister and brothers, Sylvia Cawdry (Donald Asaph), British Columbia, Roland (Beverly) Bragg, Horatio (Lucy) Bragg, both of Port aux Basques, Gary Bragg, British Columbia, Robert (Harriett) Bragg) Port aux Basques, sisters and brothers-in-law, Merrill Durnford, Eric Ingram and Art Gilliam, Sarah Peterson (Tom), Manitoba, Hubert (Pauline) Pearce, Stewart Pearce, Calvin Pearce, Dave Pearce, Rebecca Pearce, Nancy( Ray) Matthews, Eileen Welshman all of Port aux Basques, Brian Pearce, Yellowknife and Vincent (Marilyn) Pearce, London, Ontario, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. Jim was predeceased by his sisters, Ida Durnford, Linda Gilliam, and Kathleen Ingram. In keeping with Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends and family on Thursday, January 2nd from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3rd at 2:00 p.m. at Wesley United Church with Joan Chaisson officiating. Interment to follow at a later date.
