MR. JASON MURRAY FONGER
Peacefully at his home with his loving wife of 29 years by his side on Friday December 6, 2019 at the age of 55. Jason Fonger, beloved husband of Sandy Fonger (nee Smith). Loving son of the late Carol (nee Dunbar) and Noel Fonger. Dear son-in-law of Sharon Smith, without whom the last four and a half years would not have been possible, the late Bill Smith and brother-in-law of Reg Smith. Proud uncle of his extra special nephew Aidan Smith. Jason had many cherished memories of his grandmother Eileen Dunbar, uncle Bob and aunt Blanche. He will forever be missed by his special cousin Linda Barry and her family, his close friends who were more like brothers Al Raney and Mark Thoma; and his exceptional friend Pat Casey. Fondly remembered by his cousins and his many friends. predeceased by his Dunbar grandparents, Fonger grandparents and his aunts and uncles.
Family will receive visitors at the Opatovsky Funeral Home – Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge on Friday December 13, 2019 from 1-3 and 6-8 P.M. A service to celebrate the life of the late Jason Fonger will be conducted in the chapel on Saturday December 14, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. Spring interment at the Strong Cemetery in Sundridge. If desired, memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Spinal Cord Injury Canada, the Lung Association or the Almaguin Pet Rescue would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
