TOOP, James Albert “Jim” – Retired Pembroke Police Officer – Peacefully at Marianhill on Thursday, December 19th, 2019 at the age 66 years. Jim Toop of Pembroke, beloved husband of Beverley Toop (nee Demers). Loving father of Rory James (Crystal) and Mitchell Phillip (Tessa) Toop. Dear brother of Carol Toop (Phil Foster) and Susan (Tim) Coyne. Caring son-in-law of Cecelia and the late Leo Demers. Much loved brother-in-law of David (Jocelyn), Roger, Darwin, Giselle (Ron) Gibson and Darrell (Lee Ann) Demers. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Albert and Elizabeth Toop (nee James). Respecting Jims’ wishes, his body has been donated to the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine. The family would like to thank the Staff of Marianhill, especially the Staff of 2D Wing, for their care and support. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Marianhill Memorial Fund or the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. A celebration of Jims’ life will be held at a later date.
