It is with great sadness the family of Irene Murray announces her passing on December 21st, 2019. Irene was born on June 16th, 1925 at Plunkett, Saskatchewan. Irene was predeceased by her husband Vic , her parents and three brothers. Irene is survived by her five children Lee, Scott (Sandy), Fraser (Marianne), Ross (Gwen), Rae (Kathy); grandchildren Eve (Dave), McLeay (Jamie), Jordan, Dave (Kari), Vicki (Derek), Shannon (Derek), Jessica (Elizabeth Jane), Angela (Jonny), Morgan (Kelsi), Shae (Alison), Jameson, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Vic and Irene raised their children on a farm at Young Saskatchewan and later moved to Manitou Beach. Irene was a devoted wife, a generous and loving mother, an affectionate and committed grandma and a smitten great grandma. She was a kind, caring and loyal friend, gifted musician and choir director. She was committed to the happiness of others and had a knack for making people feel special. She was a very talented woman who encouraged and nurtured creativity in others and was supportive of the Arts and education. Irene was an entrepreneurial woman who took great pride in the rejuvenation of Manitou Beach and Danceland. Irene will be loved and remembered for the many lives she touched. The family would like to invite you to Irene’s Memorial Service and Celebration of Life on Sunday December 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Watrous United Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Young United Church, Watrous United Church or Watrous District Homecare.
