Helen Irene McEachran (nee Smith)
August 9th, 1930 – December 29th, 2019
Peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus, on Sunday, December 29th, 2019, Helen Irene McEachran (nee Smith) passed away. Beloved wife of the late Norm McEachran (September 26, 2018). Dear mother of Richard (Anita), Shirley Gore, Joan (Al) Gosnell, and Ronald. Cherished grandma of Tanya, Shane, Douglas, and Lydon; Jeremy and Jessica; Nikki and Joshua; Alicia and Justin and several great grandchildren. Survived by her brother Howard (Delores) Smith, and brother-in-law Art Keeley.
Predeceased by her sister Ruth Keeley, brother Glenn Smith, brother-in-law Ken McEachran, sister-in-law Beatrice (the late Eric) Teetzel, daughter-in-law Sandi McEachran, niece Sandra Smith, and her great grandson Ethan Scott. She will be sadly missed by “The Gang,” and many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Helen’s wishes cremation has taken place. Private family interment in Gosnell Cemetery, Highgate.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 335, 256 King Street, Highgate on Saturday, January 11th, 2020 from 2 to 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity or your choice.
