Obituary
On Tuesday December 10, 2019, Hal Dexter Dakin of Lac La Biche, Alberta passed away at the age of 70 years. Dexter was born on November 14, 1949 in Lac La Biche to Ray and Annette Dakin.
Dexter is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Doreen, children Grant and his wife Tracy, Cal and his wife Charity, Tyler and his wife Yvonne and daughter Laura. Grandchildren include Emily, Zac, Joshua, Caleb, Camryn, Julie, Tobiah and Jeremy, as well numerous friends and relatives.
Dexter is preceded in death by his parents Ray and Annette Dakin, his brother-in-law Stafford Smith, brother-in-law Eugene Plamondon.
Dexter will be remembered for his love for the Lord, his family, his many friends and his service to the church.
Celebration of Life to take place at 11 am on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Lac La Biche Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Chiwele officiating.
Those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Cross Cancer Institute or to the W.J. Cadzow Centre Residents Council LTC would be appreciated.

  1. On behalf of my Mom Pauline Dakin and myself we want to extend our deepest sympathies to all your families. Mom, Pauline remembers when Dexter was born and being in the same hospital with Aunt Annette when my brother Larry was born only a few days earlier.
    May the memories you hold dear to your hearts and your faith help to ease the pain your are feeling today.
