MCGEAN, GRANT It is with sadness that the family of Grant McGean, beloved husband of Wendy Craig, announces his passing on Saturday December 7, 2019.
Grant was born on February 21, 1952 in Glace Bay, N.S. He was a teacher for several years and a lifelong artist who worked in variety of media including painting and both traditional and digital printmaking. His work was shown in Japan, Egypt, the United States, Canada and several other countries.
Grant is survived by his wife of 26 years, Wendy; brother Paul of Fredericton; niece Holly Guthrie (Ashley) and their children Jordan and Brendan of Seeleys Cove, NB; nephew Matthew Yerxa of Thunder Bay, ON; uncle Joseph Gledhill (Marilyn) of Halifax, NS; several cousins and close friends. He was predeceased by his father Ambrose, his mother Elsie and his sister Lynn Yerxa.
At Grant’s request there will be no funeral. Burial will be at the Scotch Settlement Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers those who wish may donate to the medical charity of their choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
