Gerald James Murray
MURRAY, Gerald James – Passed away Dec. 16, 2019 at the Roy T. Adams Centre at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Judith (Hurst), proud father of Nathan and Vanessa (Greg) Ferguson. Doting grandfather to Nicholas and Kayleigh Murray, Lauren and Colin Ferguson. Brother of Tom (the late Lorraine), Dave (Janice), Shirley (Gary), Diane, Bruce (Pat), Joe (Donna), Brother in law to Pam Alexander and Rita Murray. Fondly remembered by a large extended family. Jerry was predeceased by parents David and Catharine Murray and twin brother Pat. Jerry worked for Niagara Region as a health inspector for 34 yrs. until his retirement in 2005. Jerry was a talented athlete and was inducted into Niagara Falls Sports Hall of Fame in 1994. We are sincerely grateful to the staff at Roy T. Adams Centre and Meadows of Dorchester Primrose unit for their kindness and compassionate care.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St., on Sunday December 22 from 11am-1pm. A service to celebrate the life of Jerry will follow at 1pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Roy T. Adams Center or Meadows of Dorchester Primrose unit would be appreciated by the family.
