Geoffrey Roy Decker May 22 1951 to December 13 2019

Geoffrey Roy Decker passed peacefully away in Calgary in the presence of his children on December 13, 2019 in his 69th year after a short illness. Originally born in St John’s, Newfoundland he moved to Calgary nearly 20 years ago. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Nina (Blandford) Decker and brother, Paul Decker. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, his three children Gillian (Jose Candido), Jonathan and Robert; mother of his children Gail Decker; grandchildren Ryder and Joee; and siblings Fredrick (Hilda), Judith (Anthony Dickinson), Susanne (Charles White), as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Also leaving to mourn his best friend Laurie Scarrow and her family, and his beloved dog Baxter. While growing up in St. John’s, Geoff attended Prince of Wales Collegiate and worked with Air Canada for 30 years, where he had many close friends. Geoff was generous, funny, kind-hearted, and loved warmer weather while perfecting his golf game. Geoff lived life to the beat of his own drum, he will be deeply missed. A celebration of Geoff’s life will take place in St. John’s at a later date.
