Passed away peacefully at University Hospital, on Sunday, December 29, 2019. He was born on November 10, 1927, in Wiarton, Ontario, and is fondly remembered by his wife of 73 years, Christena (née Lougheed); his daughters: Barb (Paul), Brenda (Gordon), and Sandy (Dan); his grandchildren: Nicole (Paul), Jacqueline (Curt), Andrew, and Brittany (deceased); his brother Finley (Helene); and great-grandchildren: Sydney, Jackson and Alice. He proudly served with the Metropolitan Toronto Police Service for 32 ½ years, retiring with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Jim was most happy being with his family, of whom he was incredibly proud. He also loved his cottage on the shore of Lake Huron, and spent many relaxing years there. Cremation has taken place.
