POWERS, Elva Verda E
-104 of Bridgewater, passed away December 25, 2019 in Mahone Nursing
Home, Mahone Bay. Born in West Dublin, she was a daughter of the late
James and Mary (Amos) Romkey. Elva worked at the Dayspring Home for
the Disabled for 17 years. Surviving are her daughters Joan Getson
(Hector), Newcombville, Sharon Nauss (Ronald), Cornwall Road, Mahone
Bay; son Sonny, Mount Pleasant; ten grandchildren; 17
great-grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren and many
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd; daughter
Mary Wagner; son Arnold; sister Mae Pfuhler; daughter-in-law Glenda
Powers; son-in-law Boyd Wagner; companion Clarke Corkum. Memorial
Service 2:00pm Monday January 6, 2020 in Westside United Church,
Pentz, Rev. Neil McEwan Officiating. Interment will be held at a later
date. Immediate family flowers only. Memorial Donations may be made to
Westside United Church, Pentz, Shaid Animal Shelter or the Charity of
your choice. Arrangements are entrusted to the R.A. Corkum Funeral
