Obituary of Ella Mae Brightman
Ella Mae (Ryan) Brightman, 62, of Westville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow on June 18th, 1957, she was a daughter of the late George and Marie (MacDonald) Ryan.
Having grown up and resided in Westville most of her life, Ella Mae was very well known and liked by many. She was a loving and caring woman that would always do anything for anyone. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly, all of whom will miss her.
She will be sadly missed by her sons, Shawn Ryan, Jason Chatterton and Barry Brightman, grandchildren, Tianna O’Laney, Brittney Abbott and Tyson Abbott; sisters, Ann Lennon, Reta Paddon, Kathleen “Kit” Betts, Mary Ann Corning, Josie Forshner and Eleanor Halliday; brothers, John, Alex (Karen) and Michael (Connie) Ryan, sister -in-law, Geraldine Ryan, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, Ella Mae was predeceased by her brothers, Archie and Hughie, sister, Jessie Burke and 4 infant brothers and sisters.
Her family will receive visitors on Saturday, December 21 from 2-5pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. There will be no funeral service. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Ella Mae’s family.
