Dorothy Beatrice Dot Kaye Selig Monday November 11th 2019

Kaye, Dorothy “Dot” Beatrice – 89, Truro, NS, fell asleep in death peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2019 in the Mira Care Centre, Truro. She was born on April 23, 1930 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan and was the daughter of the late George Arthur Selig and Elita (Suthergreen) Selig. Dot is survived by her brother, Roy Selig; nephew, Bob Selig and nieces, Brenda Selig, Shelly Selig and Jennifer (David) Portch. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Kaye. Dot was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on April 15, 1951 and was a member of the Salmon River congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Truro. She was an avid student of the Bible found great joy and satisfaction in sharing her faith with others. She also enjoyed crafts in many forms including sewing, needle point and knitting, often making items that would be given to others. Dot especially appreciated all the visits from friends and family, as well as the kind and compassionate care provided to her at the Mira. Dot’s caring, generous and forthright spirit will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial for Dot will be held in the Truro Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 183 Waller Drive, Truro on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 2 p.m. with David Spence officiating.
