The family of Derrick Petten is broken-hearted to announce his sudden passing at home on Thursday, December 12th, 2019 at the age of 66. Long-term employee of Department of Transportation and Works.
Predeceased by his parents, Wallace and Dorothy (Dawe) and parents-in-law, Lawrence and Rose Cooper.
Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 47 years, Viola (Cooper); daughters, Jennifer (Norm) and Melissa (Geoff); grandchildren, Tristan (Morgan), Sidney, Kyle and Zachary. Also leaving to mourn are his brothers and sisters, Wayne, Dorothy, Diane (Ray) and Steve; brothers and sisters-in-law, Judy (Sid), Leon (Judy), Clyde (Carol Ann), Marilyn (Frank), Verna (Walter), Wade (Susan), and Lawrence (Luna); as well as a large number of extended family.
Resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo with visitation on Saturday, December 14, 2:30 – 4:30 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm and Sunday, December 15, 2:00 – 5:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
A service of celebration for Derrick’s life will be held on Monday, December 16 at 11:00 am from All Saint’s Anglican Church, Foxtrap with interment to follow at All Saint’s Anglican Cemetery, Foxtrap.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Derrick’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo.
