The family announces with great sorrow his death after a lengthy battle with cancer, on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 59 years. Beloved husband of Linda Bertrand (nee Beaulieu). Dear father of Patrick Bertrand (Lena) and Julie Kyle (Wesley) both of Timmins. Loving grandfather of Peyton, Owen and Kalyssa. Cherished son of Roland and Pauline Bertrand of Timmins. Dear brother of Norman Bertrand (Tracy) of Matheson. Denis will be missed by his sister-in-law Louise Rozon (Jean-Paul) as well as his niece Danielle, nephew Michel and his loyal dog Zoey. The family wish to thank Dr. Caelen Rody, Dr. Nancy Woods, Joy Cormier of the TDH oncology department, Liz Feldman and Marnie Chisholm from Bayshore, Nancy Metsala of CCAC and the staff at the Timmins Hospice Centre for the care and compassion that Denis received. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Denis’ life will take place at a later date. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
