Della Ruby Margaret Dean (Chapman)
Dean, Della Ruby Margaret – With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Della Ruby Margaret Dean on Thursday, December 19, 2019 in her 81st year.
A wonderful wife, mother and friend, Della always enjoyed life to its fullest. With a love for the holidays, she always made time to be on hand for the various committees and local clubs that we near and dear to her heart.
Amongst those organizations, Della was longtime member of the Cobalt Golden Age Club, Legion Branch 44, CWL, Classic Theatre and anywhere else where she could be of help.
Della’s deepest love and entire world was her family. Predeceased by her loving husband James Dean, her siblings: Dorothy Chapman Aird, Freda Chapman Carter and Ross Chapman. Survived by her loving children: Richard Dean [Marilyn], Patricia Dean [Jean Paul], Donna Dean Harper [Craig], Joane Dean [Patrick] and Clifford Dean [Sara]; her brother Robert Chapman [Betty] and sister-in-law Florence Dean.
Always speaking of their achievements and never forgetting a birthday, Della will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Jonathon Dean, Sherie Filion [Alex], Mitchel Paquin [Kristine], David Miron [Roya], Kyle Paquin [Chantal], Jessica Young [Daniel], Carly Dean [Pierre], Dean Harper, Jason Harper, Arlan Dean; step grandchildren: Kayla Puhakka, Bradley Puhakka; and great-grandchildren: Madison, Ruby, Sophie, Felicity, Lexington, Remi, Pierre, Isabelle and McKenna.
A heartfelt thanks to Southlake Regional Health Centre ICU and Palliative Care for the amazing compassion and care provided to Della and her family during the time spent in their facilities.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest sending memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Southlake Regional Health Centre. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced. Arrangements entrusted to Buffam Leveille Funeral Home. www.buffamleveille.com.
