D. Jean Thompson
1928-2019
Peacefully, at MacLeod Clinton View Lodge, Clinton on
Saturday December 21, 2019 of D. Jean Thompson formerly of Kensington
aged 91 years . Born in Malpeque, July 5, 1928 daughter of the late
Everett and Rena (Holmes) Burt. Wife of the late Eric E. Thompson.
Loving remembered by daughters Karen (Craig) Bell,
Summerside and Janet (Gary) Heaney, Clinton. Granddaughters Beverly
(Adam) Campbell, Elizabeth (Steven) Gray, Natalie Heaney (Corey
Johnston), Michaela Bell and three special great grandsons Braxton
Campbell, Tyson Heaney and Dustin Ellis.
Sister-in-law of Jean (Thompson-Sherren) Burt and
Layton (Jean) Thompson North Wiltshire. Also surviving are several
nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brother Amon (Hazel) Burt, sisters Evelyn
(Bernard) Shields and Louise (Bill) MacIntyre, father-in-law and
mother-in-law Walter and Jennie (Carr) Thompson, brothers-in-law and
sisters-in-law Marshall (Evelyn) Thompson, Ruby (Edwin) Porter and
David Sherren.
Faithfully retired employee for many years of Bank of Nova
Scotia, Kensington. Jean loved to help in her Church and community,
also loved rug hooking, card playing and cooking.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation
on Friday from 3-7 p.m. Funeral Saturday in the Davison
Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment in
People’s Cemetery, Malpeque. If so desired contributions may
be made to the Prince County Hospital Foundation, Kensington
Presbyterian Church or Malpeque People’s Cemetery Fund
