Connell Barry Whitehead of Moncton passed away at
The Moncton Hospital on Monday, December 23, 2019 at the age of 79.
Born in Waterloo, PQ he was a son of the late Kenneth E. and Alice
(Connolly) Whitehead.
Connell attended St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church. He was
employed with St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church for 18 years. A
chartered member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Augustine’s Council
1310 fourth degree member for 32 years, a former choir member and a
third order Discalced Carmelite.
Survived by wife, Gloria (LeBlanc); step daughter, Veronica
Jane Gibbons of Moncton; sister-in-law, Pat Whitehead also by nieces
and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by sister,
Susan MacKillop and brother, Brian Whitehead.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers &
Riverview Funeral Home on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 2:00pm until
4:00pm.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic
Church 43 Botsford St. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11:00am with
Father Allison Carroll officiating.
Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial
Gardens.
Donations in Connell’s memory may be made to the Ray of Hope
Kitchen, 340 Dominion St, Moncton, E1C 6H8 would be appreciated by the
family.
