Colette Marie Moss October 1st 1932 December 22nd 2019

Colette passed softly into the night last Sunday, the 22nd of December.
She was born in Donnybrook, Ireland in 1932. As an adult, she was in the Rag Trade both in Dublin and London.
Colette and her husband Brendan came to Canada in 1956 and fell in love with Vancouver. When her children were raised, she went back to the clothing business and opened the “Dublin House” in Gaoler’s Mews, Gastown and later another one in Arbutus Village, Kerrisdale from whence she dressed some of Vancouver’s Finest! She had also been involved in the “Voice of Women” and Children’s Theatre.
When Colette retired, she moved to the UBC area. Many years later “dementia” set in and recently she suffered a mini stroke. Colette was admitted to the VGH and died there peacefully on the 22nd of December in her sleep.
We would like to thank the doctor’s, nurses and staff on the 7th floor of the Blackmore Pavilion in the VGH for their kindness, and also Tommy Douglas for the peace of mind that went with it.
No flowers- no service. Contributions for dementia and stroke foundations appreciated.
Survived by her loving husband of 65 years Brendan, and her beloved daughter, Karen.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Colette Marie Moss October 1st 1932 December 22nd 2019..
