Charlene’s Obituary
CHURCHVILLE – Charlene Joy MacLean, 60, Churchville, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, with her husband by her side.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Leo Vernon and Myrtle Marie (Hughes) Hughes. Prior to retirement due to ill health, Charlene was employed as a Personal Care Worker with the former Pictou County Home Care, a career she greatly enjoyed. In earlier years, she was employed with various companies and appreciated the comradery of her coworkers. Charlene was a member of Springville Presbyterian Church. Her faith was very dear and important to her. Charlene enjoyed sewing and researching genealogy. In the words of her husband, Wayne – “Charlene was awesome!”
Surviving are her husband of 25 years, Wayne MacLean; chosen son, Buhle, Pictou; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Deborah in infancy; brothers, Roy and Donald.
In honour of Charlene’s wishes, her family will celebrate her life privately.
If desired, donations may be made in Charlene’s memory to Springville Presbyterian Church.
