Leone, Carroll McKenzie – passed away peacefully at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, surrounded by his wife, Carolina, and daughters, Patricia and Pamela, at the age of 84 years. Born in New London, New Hampshire, USA, Carroll was predeceased by his Parents, Carroll Leone Sr, and Mary (Cady) Leone, and by the following family members; sister, Nancy Magoon; brother-in-Law, Rich Magoon; Grandson, Dominick Benoit; daughter-in-law, Susan McDonald. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife of 33 years, Carolina (Benoit), and his children, Vern (Lisa), Pandora (Peter) Finn, Patricia (Bruce) Sooley, Vance (Efigenia), Pamela (Paul) Wilvers, Victor (Esperanza), Sheldon (Marie) Benoit, Rex (Renee) Benoit and Roger (Holly) Benoit. Carroll had 17 Grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, plus a great many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Carroll served in U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1959. After he left the military, he graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a teaching degree. Later Carroll and his family moved to Newfoundland where he taught Mathematics, English, Computer Science and Heavy Equipment at the Bay St George Community College. Once retired, Carroll and Carolina moved to Nova Scotia where he enjoyed looking after their hobby farm, research, and his love of books. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request.
